Die Bedeutung des Begriffs „Woke“ hat in den vergangenen zehn Jahren eine interessante Wandlung durchgemacht. War damit ursprünglich gemeint, ein „Bewußtsein für soziale Ungerechtigkeit“ zu haben, wird der Begriff heute vor allem mit negativer Konnotation ins Feld geführt. Er beschreibt eine fast schon bösartige Denkweise, die sich obsessiv um Opferstilisierung, politische wie kulturelle Bevormundung, umgekehrten Rassismus, Cancel Culture, Misandrie, Übersensibilität und ein negatives Verhältnis zur Meinungsfreiheit dreht. Sie ist Folge eines entgrenzten und missionarischen Liberalismus...

Auf kultureller Ebene läßt sich seit einiger Zeit eine Werteverschiebung erkennen, die Hinweis auf einen größeren politischen Wandel gibt. Anlaß dafür ist die wachsende Kritik und immer deutlicher werdende Ablehnung des „Wokismus“. Nicht nur in Deutschland, sondern in der gesamten westlichen Welt ...

In Berlin ist mit privaten Spenden das alte preußische Stadtschloß neu erstanden, getragen von einer großen zivilgesellschaftlichen Initiative und gegen alle Widerstände des linken Establishments und seiner Wasserträger...

Die Angriffe aus dem „woken“ Milieu waren massiv und teils ohne jeden Anstand. Aber letzten Endes steht das Schloß. Mit Kreuz, biblischer Kuppelinschrift und jetzt auch den Propheten auf der Balustrade der Kuppel. Und kein wütender Artikel von Linken konnte daran etwas ändern, so sehr sie auch tobten und geiferten. Es gibt also gute Gründe für mehr Selbstbewußtsein und weniger demoralisierende Erzählungen. Die „woke“ Ära geht zu Ende...

Robotics Startup Unveils the World’s Fastest Walking Shoes.

A Pittsburgh-based robotics and engineering startup recently unveiled Moonwalkers, a pair of battery-powered shoes that it claims can boost walk speeds by up to 250%.

 

 At first glance, Moonwalkers look like a pair of futuristic rollerskates, but there is actually a lot more to them than that. You’re actually meant to walk with them the way you would regular shoes or sneakers, letting the motorized wheels put a spring in your step. Powered by a state-of-the-art brushless DC motor, this ingenious contraption is actually a platform that can be attached to a wide variety of footwear to significantly increase your walking speed up to a reported 7mph/11kph. For comparison, humans’ average walking speed ranges from 2.5 to 4 mph. The sensation of walking with the world’s fastest shoes has been compared to that of walking on a ‘moving walkway’ in an airport.
